We've long believed that flash technology will mean the web comes to the television - surfing the internet without a computer while sat on the sofa. It's one of the main reasons we set up the company because we believe in the power of internet video delivered through your home television set.

So it was with just a little surprise that we saw this story recently on the BBC News website. Click or copy and paste the link below into your web browser window and have a look.

Essentially the news means, says the BBC, that developers and content providers will be able to create applications to deliver web-based content such as news, weather and share prices to TV screens.
